ASJA BIOMETHAN PLANT PRODUCTION
The mission behind Michela Lageard’s architec- ture for the biomethane plant in Foligno is a per- fect blend of expression and appreciation of Ren- zo Piano’s message that the concept of beauty is ethical before it becomes aesthetic. The project is guided by a search for compatibility between indus- try and the landscape. It also reflects a similar com- mitment to reconcile growth and environmental sus- tainability by encouraging the landscape to become a new productive model of circular economy. The new plant, inaugurated by Asja in 2018, was de- signed as a “manifesto” of the potential of the fourth industrial revolution where, from the perspective of a smart vision of environmental transformation pro- cesses, economy rhymes with ecology.
