location RIVOLI  _ TURIN

The VILLA: 1000 square meters’ plant that Cerruti had built in Rivoli in 1967 in Provencal style.

A few steps from Rivoli contemporary art museum, it preserves his works now retro-fitted by the architectural firm Baietto Battiato Bianco with the collaboration of Con3Studio.

It is a small treasure trove of masterpieces ranging from the latest purchase in the collection, a work by Renoir bought in 2014 to a Sotheby’s auction, up to the first artwork that gave way in 1969 to the engineer’s passion for collecting: a small watercolor by Kandinskij from 1918. All placed in a four-story ascending path that from the basement, room after room, leads to the bedroom in the tower, where most of the gold funds and the oldest works in the collection are kept: from Sassetta to Paolo Veneziano.
